i just had my TSH checked and it was 5.7 down from 11 or so. so, that’s good news. it’s getting under control so to speak.
i’ve also quit drinking sodas and caffeine, so i’m still feeling a little tired sometimes. but still, all and all, i’m feeling a lot better.

it seems that my hypothyroidism has been getting the better of me. i’ve been drag-assing around the past month or so. i should recognize the groggy, can’t-think-straight, just-want-to-sleep feeling and do something about it, instead of just enduring it.
it seems that this goal is at odds with this goal. i can’t seem to stop drinking sodas.. it’s like diet coke is my quicker-pick-me-upper when i’m feeling groggy.

for you hypothyroid people out there..
watch your soy intake. i read a web site about the concerns of eating too much soy, when you have thyroid problems.
being vegan, i was eating a lot of soy. soy milk, soy cookies, soy french fries, soy water, soy toilet paper. you name it. and i was also having a lot of problems with fatique.
i dropped the soy from my diet, and in a few days, i could immediately tell the difference. i had more energy, and less brain fuzziness.
ps. rice milk is your friend.

i found out i have hypothyroidism about 6 months ago. 75% of my family has it, so i guess it shouldn’t be a surprise. but yet, it was.
i’ve noticed. the number of diet pepsi’s i have to drink to stay away, is usually indicative of my TSH level. (high TSH is bad, it makes your feel tired and legathargic). 8 diet pepsi’s a day? TSH is around 8.
