I subscribed, or whatever, to this goal because I wanted to get the emails about said meetups. But hoestly I have no interest in helping organize the things. Although back when I was trying to attend meetups my presence seemed to be the kiss of death so maybe the thing I can do to ensure the success of a meet is stay home. I’m not being sulky, it’s hilarious. You’re welcome dudes.

Hey guys – I’m getting together with a friend of mine for Karaoke on Monday, January 15th at 9 pm at Star Bar in L5P. He owes me a song – we made a bet and he lost, so he has to sing something of my choosing. Anyway, I thought this would be a great opportunity to meet some other 43Ters, and share our wonderful (or not so wonderful) singing voices. :) Let me know if you’d like to come out…I can make a sign and stuff so we can find each other, just like our previous meet-ups.
K, folks…Inman Perk Coffee in Inman Park is going to be dishing out free ice cream next Friday, August 25, from 6 to 11 p.m. Anyone interested in meeting up? I can reserve a table if there is interest in gathering a group of 43Things users.
Oh yeah..the ice cream is good. You can ask james – the I can never keep up with his screenname. ;)
Yesterday’s meetup at Brewhouse Cafe, followed by an evening at 97 Estoria was tons of fun! I was joined by faustus, bluepark and Aaron066. See the picture I added above, and come out on Saturday at 3:00 (or earlier) for the next match!
Is anyone interested in watching the Argentina matches at Brewhouse Cafe in L5P? I’ll be there Wednesday (the 21st) at 3:00 for the match against Netherlands, and then again on either Saturday or Sunday at 3:00, depending on whether they win on Wednesday. They probably will, so it will probably be on Saturday and vs. Mexico. Come out and support my country!! :)
Hey ATL 43 :-)
My fitness trainer, Jenna, and her friend Stacy have Back 2 Basics fitness training every Saturday 9am at Grady High School directly across the street from Piedmont Park.
Your first session is free then $10 after that (they are trained professionals after all). Training consists of plyometrics, cardio, and agility drills including squats, lunges, sprints, push-ups, sit-ups, stair climbing, etc.
Don’t forget to bring some water (and maybe a towel to soak up the sweat) and your gym shoes.
Health and Happiness
Some of you know that my dad had a heart attack and passed away on March 30. It was terribly unexpected, and my life has been turned upside-down, but I know he would want me to have my photography opening anyway. The show must go on.
I am going to try to have some of my favorite photos that my Dad took framed and on display during my photography opening reception. He was a very talented photographer. He had the Nikon F - a legendary SLR camera first introduced in 1959. In fact, he let me borrow that same camera a few years ago when I was really getting into photography. Of course, I opted to stick with digital, but I have to admit that paging through the aging black and white prints - that he developed himself—has been one of my favorite pasttimes for as long as I can remember.
I really hope to see you next Saturday, April 22! (It’s Earth Day too…you can celebrate by observing some of nature’s beautiful flowers at my opening.)
