Thrashers Open Doors to Fans for Morning Skate

The Thrashers host their first pre-season game in Blueland Saturday night, Sept. 22, but fans can get an inside look at the team that morning when the doors will be open for practice. The gates open starting at 9:30 a.m. with practice running from 10 a.m. to noon. Head Coach Bob Hartley will be MIC’d for the first hour of practice and Executive Vice President and GM Don Waddell will be on hand to give the crowd his thoughts on the upcoming season.

so this is an early call for this but i want to put it out there. the inaugural ing georgia marathon is being run on march 25.

a bunch of us atlanta 43t’ers are planning on running the marathon and the 1/2. if you want to join you can adopt this goal and join us.

however if running a marathon or 1/2 marathon isn’t your thing, i am hoping that i can recruit you as a spectator and photo taker. i think we are planning to get special 43t drifit shirts made up so you can spot us :-)

Ok, so they’ve lost to Carolina… twice… but boy did they fight and who knows? with a bit of encouragement they might just win next time. So how about organizing a meet up to go cheer for our team? Individual tickets are as low as $10ea and they have 2 for 1 Wednesdays with tickets as low as $14, so we’re talking $7 per ticket… That’s a pretty good deal!

I am new to this “43 things”, thing so lets get together. A Sunday afternoon in Piedmont Park, everyone brings a dish and we eat drink and be merry. My wife and I can organize the event if you guys will come.

I think this would be perfect for a meetup. It’s a great family event and it’s always lots of fun!

This year’s walk will be @ Centennial Olympic Park, limited parking will be available at no charge at the Inforum building and also at the CNN center.
