It’s a really fun race, mostly because of the people. Folks dress up like Elvis, Spider Man, and Forrest Gump and bands play along the way. Did someone serve beer one year? I can’t remember. All I knew was that I didn’t want any! :)

Today is the Freescale Marathon (formerly the Motorola) here in Austin. Originally, I was going to run the half, but I ultimately decided against it a little over a month ago.
In its stead, I am running the Capitol 10k race on April 2nd. I hope that Manton will join me.

The Statesman Capital 10,000 has a long history in Austin. Seems like a great first 10k to run, if I can get in shape enough to manage it.
