It’s not good enough to be a novel in itself, but it contains ideas that I plan to use in the future.

I finally finished the NANO novel I wrote in 2004! Now it just needs editing.
This weekend, more work on the unfinished pile of Nano Novels.!
I actually have two books from NaNoWriMo I need to finish, one from last year and one from 2005. I started moving from notes to a new blogger pages, in hopes that I will work on them more often. I know some day they will be finished. And I already have some ideas for this year’s novel…

2006 hasn’t turned out to be the year of the Nano for me due to other commitments, but I did pick up last year’s attempt and found it surprisingly compelling.
I think I might just sent it off in it’s virgin form next year anyway and see what happens.

For the record, this year’s 50,000th word was “well”.
This was my sophomore year. Not as fun as last year, but I think a better novel. Time will tell.
Why do we write? To become better writers.
Why do we run? To become better runners.
It’s a Zen thing.

Especially if you have an excerpt posted, let’s take a look at each others’ work. I’m curious.
Anyone want to form a thread on one of the forums and exchange 43T/NaNoWriMo integration tips?
NaNo was a great experience. I’m doing it again this year for sure!
The product of NaNo2005 will be fodder for future stories.
I’ve given up on the idea of a novel for now, and decided to focus on short stories. So I weeded through my NaNO and pulled out two sections (each about 5 double-spaced pages) and I’m going to focus on developing them.
I’m so proud of myself, and where else could I find anyone else who would also be? Here of course!
I took out and edited a section of my NaNo story. Mercilessly. What was once 7 majestic pages long is now a mere 4 paragraphs. I also started one of those character inventory lists to get to know my character. An eye-opening experience.
