1. I subbed in the awful kindergarten class; we took a walking field trip to the public library and FOUR, count ‘em FOUR adults were scheduled to chaperone. Meanwhile, we met another K class coming down as we walked back and there was just their teacher with them. Yes, they were that bad. Anyway, we all made it through and the regular teacher hugged me yesterday when she saw me!
2. The 6th grade band had a concert with the junior high bands and choir. All the groups were actually really good!
3. We had a late dinner of salad, bread, homemade vegetable soup and leftover-mashed-potato pancakes and it was so good. Oh, also a glass of wine :)
1. The bad kid was in suspension in the 2nd grade class where I subbed

3. When you don’t get to relax until after 9pm because of your busy day, it feels even better!
1. Cool, sunny day for working in Mom’s yard mowing, raking and trimming

Sarah and I drove her new boyfriend’s car around back country roads and through old cemeteries first alone and then with the girls watching a movie on the dvd player in the back (yes, it was a cool car) and then with Jack, Sam and Charlie in the way back with the sticks they’d picked up at the creek. A nice Spring Sunday afternoon

2. Afternoon with my mom and then home to make a yummy dinner for us: the tilapia that everyone likes and asaparagus from the garden

1. A day to do my own thing which means I cleaned the house. That’s good because I was sick of walking on crumbs in the kitchen and seeing the clutter of papers and stacks and just things littering the house
2. Also caught up on Downton Abbey but I am officially pretty upset at anyone who knew what was going to happen and didn’t warn me off watching it! So sad…
3. Sophie was sleeping over at a friend’s so I fixed Will’s favorite spaghetti and then Todd and I watched a scary movie
1. Went out to lunch with GG and talked about stuff.
2. The Mother’s Day tea at the chum’s school was amazing. They presented us with hats that they had made (which completely did not fit), sang us three songs, (the chum kept making silly faces at me when he saw me starting to cry), presented us with certificates of appreciation, escorted us to lunch, and served us treats. So wonderful and sweet!

3. Todd borrowed my mom’s mower because ours isn’t running and then did speed-mowing after dinner. So about 8, he called us all out because he’d found this year’s nest of bunnies. Will and Sophie and I protected them while he finished mowing. Silly bunnies don’t know you can’t run around in the tall grass while the mower is going!
1. My run wasn’t too bad. Usually the LA runs are horrendous but I felt OK and made it back at a time that worked well with work start times.
2. The grilled cheese at Troy’s Burgers is really good. Totally hit the spot – plus I got the foursquare mayorship. Also good about Troy’s – there’s an error on the menu board that lists “Skakes”. That makes me happy every time.
3. The plane landed 10 minutes early and I always like walking to the car listening to music. Very “the soundtrack to the movie of my life”- ish.
