I missed the last few days of entries, but I won’t bore you by putting them in now. They’re pretty repetitive of everything else. So here’s the overall results of the month.
-Learn a new dance=Completed this by learning the Electric slide.
-Eat less than x amount of calories for the entire month=Despite falling off the band wagon on this many, many times, I made it with four hundred calories to spare.
-Exercise at least once a day=I did this, although I didn’t always exercise a lot.
-Run at least once a week=Completed this one.
-Finish summer bucket list=Not quite so good on this one, but I think I completed more than I would’ve without listing it here.
-Write a wish on a balloon and let it go=Didn’t get around to doing this one.
-Win NaBloPoMo=Technically, yes. I did this. But given the fact that I had to queue some posts to do it (which is kinda cheating) I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. You can see here for a little while (I’m not too proud of it, and I’m going to delete it soon.)
-Win Camp NaNoWriMo=Not even close on this one…
I didn’t manage to complete everything, but I think that since I completed more than half, it can be counted as a success.
did I? Ohh well maybe one day I will complete a bootcamp…. sigh!!!
So, it’s been an interesting month.
My family decided to spiral down into chaos and I chose to work and exercise to ignore them all =) Healthy I’m sure =P
being fit and healthy is always on my list and this month I’ve done another step to making a greater impact on my life.
OH! And I have some adventure too! Well, adventure for me. I asked someone out. Yes, happily single me asked out my very funny and cute coworker. He said yes and I made him blush a little. It was quite a funny scene really…and I’ve been bubbly about it since. ^ .^
JWillow Here 'til the lights go out....please stay in touch!
This Bootcamp has definitely been worthwhile for me.
It has helped me be more regularly & concsiously active and has shown me that I do actually engage in life with a sense of adventure! (most of the time anyway! lol)

This was my first bootcamp and honestly it was probably one of the more productive months I’ve had recently. Having something to work towards really made a difference in what I chose to do each day.
I achieved the majority of the things I set out to do and all in all it was a really great month.
Looking forward to September!
August was a good and yet challenging month.
Although we had plans to spend 10 days in Crete, we did not manage to go away. Still, A. and I, spent some time together and we went to two exhibitions. I also cooked a three-course meal; we hoped to have a candle-lit dinner under the stars on the terrace, but the weather did not allow us to do so, and we ended up at my mum’s dining room.
It’s really difficult seeing your partner in pain and not being able to do anything to make the pain go away. All I could do was to be there for him.
Many people take good health as a given. Enjoying good health is such a precious gift. This month has taught me that we should savour every single moment and that we should appreciate and be grateful for all positive things in our lives.
Towards the end of the month, I felt the need to spend sometime by myself, not focusing on goals, not being proactive or productive. As a result, I did not follow my fitness routine (gym/exercise/diet) and I did not complete my reading. Similarly, we have not made any progress with the interior decor (lighting and curtains).
September is going to be busy!
sierrak Happy to get back to work on my Goals!
August was a good month. I got a lot of moving-related tasks finished, both for us and to get my Mom started with her move. I painted almost everything I have left to paint, and donated literally hundreds of pounds of books to the library.
More Actions: I did pretty well with my walking, hitting 10,000 steps or more on all but a few days. I lost two more pounds. Not bad considering that we took our trip to San Diego.
Adventure: Too busy for a whole lot of adventures, but we did visit San Diego and attend a family wedding.
It was a good month!

Then, when I looked back on the month in review, I realized I did complete two things, including seeing a meteor shower, which was a new, long awaited experience. I, also, closed my stepfather’s estate, which was on my goal list, although I’m not sure I could categorize it as a new experience. I spent a total of an hour on hula hooping and can now maintain it for a while, but then I dropped the ball on this midway through the month. I did begin postcrossing and have mailed 14 cards and received one. I had a reason to discontinue putting in job applications, but I should have already followed up on finding out what I need to do to get licensed. Not sure why I’m not pursuing this more aggressively. Altogether, I feel I have made good progress on this boot camp- not excellent, but this has been a very stressful, upsetting month for me and our family, and maybe I can cut myself some slack.
many things I need to work on. This goal will be instrumental in getting me to finally start living my life instead of waiting for things to happen.
