Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

Essentially a series of interlinked short stories each written in there own individual style. I can thoroughly recommend!

Just finished this one.

Enjoyed it quite a lot. I got quite into the whole magical realism thing and realize that a number of my other favourite authors apply similar techniques. It took me a while though. Lots of deaths of key characters is always something that I have problems with.

One book that I can never imagine them making a film of.

Beautiful, weird, confusing and incestuous – when most of the characters have the same name this can be confusing – thank god for the family tree in the front – so I can remember who Auriellano Segundo was. Well worth reading though.
