I need to be aware 2 years ago

that sadly not all problems are real, some people will pretend to be in need when really they aren’t, take huricane Katrina for example, a lot of people claimed disaster relief money and then spent it on things like plastic surgery. Primary information will be safer than secondary or just hearsay, but again even that can be false if you consider magicians.

Why I want to change the world 2 years ago

is partly because I am a man and so naturally when I see a problem like all men I want to fix it.

Women on the other hand often like to talk about problems and that makes them feel better, I remember the film white men can’t jump where Woody Harrelson is lying in befd with his girlfriend and she says “I’m thirsty” so Woody gets up and gets her a glass of water, then she has a go at him because she wanted him to symphasise with her instead of getting her water she wanted him to say I symphasis with your problem of being thirsty rather than solve the problem.
Boy if I was Woody in that situation I would have had one hell of a go at her wanting me to waste more time talking to her about something that could be fixed in a short time and with no real effort, and I’d be shocked that she was too damn lazy to get the water herself in the first place instead of compaining and making things worse. Does she think people starving in Africa want someone to symphasize with them “what’s that, your hungry and you feel weak and dizzy, well that must be terrible, I’ll stay here a bit longer with you and symphasize until you feel better” hell no, they want some food, any food and have their problem solved in the short term or long term would be even better. I just hope there aren’t too many people out there who are like the lady in the film, but then it is a film so might never really happen.

Am I being too negative? 2 years ago

so far I’ve only been looking at trying to stop other people from doing bad things and although this does also have the positive impact of empowering people it doesn’t really make things better, people happier. Should I instead be focusing on spreading happiness, personally I think thats kind of a naieve way of looking at solving problems but there could be something to be said for the pay it forward – due south kind of approach of just being really nice no matter what and setting an example for people to follow. I shall probably as usually try to forge a balance which is almost always the best approach in my opinion.

Where to start? 2 years ago

I had a conversation with a new friend about this recently and I explained that I wanted to change the world by changing the way society operates. At the moment most people are concerned mainly with themselves so that if they saw something worng like a person playing loud music on a tube or a person mugging someone they would most likely ignore it as they could risk embarrasment or injury otherwise. also people who complain a lot or make demands are likely to get more than they deserve which I think is wrong. So I’m looking to make people stand up for what is right and if we can get enough epople doing it and giving examples to others of how they should behave then selfish people cna be punished instead of rewarded and they would change the way they behaved.
It’s not going to be easy though, but nothing worth doing is.
