I’ve let this goal sit about for so long that it’s now completely obsolesced. I no longer need to cook up a perfect man; I’ve somehow found one pre-existing.
But I give up this one. I just don’t think I have enough TV culture to ‘play with you’, first, and second, I don’t really feel like listing too much the qualities I except from someone… I would prevent me from seeing his qualities, whoever he is…
My first candidate is Colin James, the Canadian blues singer. First of all, he looks like this. Obviously, this is a good thing. Secondly, he’s sincere and open – enough to write lyrics that show vulnerability and are at times self-critical. He’s charming and engaging. He’s talented, yet humble. In interviews, he’s unfailingly polite. Grandma would love that he’s such a nice, young man, yet he’s also just naughty enough to set your heart racing (without breaking it).
Having written all that, I don’t know where to go from here. I wouldn’t combine Colin James with anyone. He’s pretty much perfect, as he is. Oops. Did I not follow directions, properly, or what?

Alright, they may call him Captain Slow but he wants to be talked out of buying an Aston Martin Lagonda and has fast motorbikes as opposed to stair carpet. And he plays the piano (a degree in music). And he drinks pints, eats pies and likes cats.

Well, where do I start. I think this is going to be like doing a jigsaw puzzle or baking a cake – piece by piece, one ingredient after the other. It will probably come as a surprise that as a bloke, I don’t actually have a list of fanciable females. It’s not to say that there aren’t any women I admire and find deeply attractive, it’s just that I haven’t got any order to the system.
The following women appear in no particular order, but purely from the top of my head…
Gillian Anderson (as sexy agent Dana Scully in the X-Files)
Angelina Jolie (the dangerous woman)
Liz Hurley (I just love her accent)
Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows in CSI – the older woman)

Bill Bailey
A british comedian. He is very funny as far as I’m concerned, he can be very surreal and I like that. And he is obviously, from the things he says, a big animal lover. This is a big plus point for me. He is also a very talented musician, and he uses this to point out the funny side of music and uses music to make people laugh. Perhaps I’d like my dream man to have his sense of humour. For being funny I’d give him a ten out of ten.
First – a short list of desirable men, and why I think they are desirable. I’ll add to the list as I think of them. I’‘l do an entry for each man and add a picture if I can find one. Feel free to either agree or disagree with me as we go along. ;-)

Ben Affleck
Why ? Because I think he’s gorgeous. I like well built men. I have no idea as to his personaility traits, desirable or not, so I’d have to add him to my list on looks alone. But it’s ok to be shallow – this is purely for fun. ;-) Perhaps I’d like my dream man to look like him. I’d give him a 10 out of 10 for cuteness – what about you ?
I thought this might be abit of fun. To cook up the perfect guy by combining aspects of men in the public eye who I like. I’ve invted a couple of other broken hearts to join me in this in the hope of cheering them up, and cheering myself up in the process ! Perhaps if we visualise him, he might turn up in reallife right ? You can but hope. ;-)
I am going to start on this in a bit when I have watched “Bones” on tv. Come to think of it, David Borneanaz may well be in the list of desirable men somewhere …
