Become a librarian

A quick entry while the baby sleeps:

I’m now 4 classes away from finishing my degree. I took 2 this semester with an infant. I didn’t really think about what months 2-6 of his life would be like when I signed up for classes in the Fall. For some reason I thought I’d have my mama legs under me by 10 weeks.

I learned a lot about organization last semester. Mostly, that I ought to put him in day care 2 days a week if I’m going to take 3 classes in the spring.

I think I did this. Kinda. In a way. My name tag now reads “REFERENCE LIBRARIAN.”

Does that count? Even though I’m still in school? Can I really be a librarian already?

Yay! I had a presentation and a paper due today, and think I nailed them both. Let’s not talk about when I started these (or when I finished the paper—30 minutes into class), but let’s focus instead on the phrase, “That was a wonderfully in-depth look at the history of the Internet.” That’s the professer talking. I, perhaps, rock today.

When I first listed this goal, I didn’t think it would be too hard to do. Ha!

This last week my attention has NOT been on school, to the point where I am worried I may not get the minimum grade I need to pass my classes.

I need to figure out how to achieve this beyond just “showing up.”
