***Get as many people as possible to send Ronald Crawford an encouraging card***

I just sent him a humorous card.

Originally, I delayed acting on this goal because I wanted to spread it to other people, so RC wouldn’t get a wealth of cards & others would get none. That originally proved difficult for FrannieGirl to arrange, but now she has a lovely new plan

However, I decided not to participate in the new plan at this point, because I realized that I am expending all my energy for correspondence on writing frequent cheery newsy notes to my mom (who is confined to a nursing home with an incurable disease, to which she will succumb at some point).

I also realized that in the time that’s passed since this goal was originally created that RC has probably experienced a great falloff in the amount of mail he has been getting. So I decided that I would actually make him the recipient of my card, after all.

I’ve just mailed him a funny card with a cheery note. Hope he still checks general delivery!

I just sent Marylyn’s card to her today. I hope she likes it.

and told lots of other people about it too.

I mailed his card today. I plan to mail one to Marilyn as well. She seems like such a nice person. She deserves a card too.

Card written and sent today! Thanks for the invite for this excellent goal. I have no doubt that everyone’s cards will be endlessly appreciated. It’s always the small things that make the biggest impact and have the most meaning.

Imagining how surprised will be Ron to receive a postcard from France is very worth doing… I’ve sent it a few hours ago. A beautiful drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. Hope he’ll like it as much as I do.

so thanks for the invite, yrush. But I am kind of worried about one person getting lots of mail and others, none. Is there any progress on finding other names so we can make sure that others can get cards too?
