Last night I did something that was a bit out of my comfort zone. Not a full-out TOWANDA like the parking lot episode, but I went to a party where I’d never met anyone face-to-face before (and only knew one of the people over the Internet). It was the birthday of an LJ friend (a friend who’d been introduced to me via a very close RL and LJ friend), and I decided that I’d go to this party in spite of not really knowing anyone there. And I’m SO glad I went – it was the best evening I’ve had in a very long time! So, YAY for going out of my comfort zone. Does this count?

Hee! I just watched that video clip, and it makes me laugh and laugh and laugh! I could have used a little TOWANDA earlier this week, when I got some crap from a couple of people during a board meeting for my chorus. Next time M tells me I don’t know anything about the world of “business,” she’d better WATCH OUT . . . or TOWANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
I do want to figure out a “goal” for this – something that I’ll know when I’ve achieved. Maybe something like knowing that I’ve gotten in touch with Towanda in my life once per week for a while. Even if it’s just in a little way . . . I could use that fiesty spirit from time to time, that’s for sure!
As for the list:
1. You’ve slapped a man in the face. And didn’t regret it. Not a slap, but I did kick someone in the shins. Turns out he didn’t deserve it, but I thought he did at the time. And it’s not something I see myself doing at this point in my life. But nah, I can’t say I regret it. :D
2. You have stood up for yourself, and felt good about it. Yep – I’ve done this. Wish I did a bit more of it this past Monday night, though.
3. You can fix your own leaky faucet, thank you very much. Hmnh. Don’t think I’ve ever tried to do this. But I can and do fix other things around the house. Sometimes. Nothing too difficult, though.
4. You can be sweet one minute and fiesty the next. Heh. Yeah.
5. You are mysterious. Well, I don’t know about this. Although last week I had a fortune cookie tell me that someone found me very mysterious, so I guess I’ll count it.
6. You can change your mind about something as much as you want. Oh, hell yes. I think it’s stupid not to!
7. You are independent. In mind and spirit, yes.
8. You have many facets: playful, witty, charming, emotional, serious, curious, sensual, compassionate. Oh yeah. :D
9. You don’t let your fears get in the way, and if they do, you face them head on…eventually. Yeah. This is definitely true for me.
10. You don’t care about what other people think. Of course I don’t care what other people think! (Most of the time, anyway. Well, almost all the time. Once in a while I might slip, but now I know that all I have to do is remember TOWANDA)!!!!!
::phew::
that feels better already :D
9 out of 10 on the list isnt bad…
i would never acctually do nom.1
although ive probably done the equivalent with words? :S

Inspires me so much…through her music and poetry. I can’t get enough. Whenever I feel Towandaish I put on Gravel and sing right along….
Towanda came out of the woodwork today! Not backing down and letting some punk-ass make me feel inferior!
