of course as it’s Christmastime. Problem is Mark and I are buying a lot for ourselves too! Along with the new car payment money is flying out of our hands at a rapid pace. New computer gadgets, new electronics, all sorts of technology really! Have not and will not go into credit card debt though so that is a positive! Once Christmas is finished we’ll be back on the road to savings hopefully!
Entries from people on this team:
my car is on the outs again! The beater has some sort of hole in it and the mechanic I was going to told me he couldn’t figure out where water was getting in. Water kept accumulating on my driver side floor… now the drivers seat is moving around a bit. It appears to have corrosion underneath and broken a bolt to the seat! Pffft, it’s probably corroded the floor board so badly that the bloody thing is about to bust apart.
I hate to say it but perhaps it’s time for a new car! This ones really starting to irritate me and I just spent 500 on it since the summer.
I could get something new now but I wanted this one to last until Mark moves over because it’s all paid off. Then, Mark and I could purchase something really nice together and both have a say in what we choose. Well, I’ll call another mechanic and see if he’d be willing to touch it. I won’t continue to drive it if they can’t make it safe.
Tomorrow, I’ll be ordering the Audio CD of Ann Coulter’s ‘Godless: The Church of Liberalism’ and another book as well. I’ll also be getting yet another TV as I have to return the first one due to the DVD player not playing DVD-R’s smoothly! Argh, do they make DVD players that are decent about playing DVD-Rs?
Anyhow, I’m due to spend a pretty penny tomorrow!
Has been a high spend week! But, the investments are good mostly. Things I’ve been waiting to get and my “big check” was just the excuse I needed to justify getting these things. These things include a new tv with dvd built in (will get tomorrow) for me bedroom (so I can be even lazier and lie in bed whilst watching telly), a crash pad (item similar to a sleeping bag from Wal*Mart), a push mower, a gas powered trimmer, and oh… I paid of one of my student loans!
Not to mention, I just sank 400 more dollars into my old car (well, I had to get it fixed)! Arrgghhh, somebody stop me LOL.
my car is on the outs again! Had to have the beater towed AGAIN! Cha-ching, cha-ching… I can hear the bills adding up!
Pffft, it’s probably the starter according to the tow man. I haven’t a clue! All I know is that vehicle better last and better not cost me too much money! I could be lavish purchase a new auto now but this one is paid for and I enjoy not having a monthly car payment.
I’m just praying this one will last until Mark moves over. Then, we can purchase something better together!
However, if this one starts draining my monetary supplies too frequently I’ll be forced to get rid of it and get something more reliable.
