why not put it off till next week  — 2 years ago

I work shift work. When I’m on this 3pm-11pm shift I just can’t seem to come home and go right to bed. I need a bit of ‘wind-down’ time.

So I’m modifying my goal: 1am on afternoons, 11 on day shift.

This seems more reasonable to me.

But I need to take care of other things in my life first for this goal to be possible: like taking care of my health and pain (then it would be easier to get to bed at the same time each night).

Doing ok, but not  — 3 years ago

making it exactly by midnight, mostly by 1am, which means the sink is not shiny. Hubby keeps promising to do this, but hasn’t managed it last couple of days. Laundry is piled up in our bedroom, and I’m still running out of energy, mostly because the kids keep waking up in the middle of the night.

I sometimes put on a meditation CD, and that helps sometimes, but they’re still waking up.
