Okay, the divorce is in the works (hence my very nearly absolute absence here for the past month or two…), so that obviously means there’s no spouse to do anything with on a regular basis. Q.E.D.

Bowling... 2 years ago

Carol came home on Saturday and asked if I wanted to go bowling or to see a movie. There hasn’t been anything movie-wise that I’ve really wanted to see for a while, so we opted to go bowling. It was only about 4:30 in the afternoon, so the place was still pretty empty and we had a lane with no immediate neighbors. It was fun, although I’m not sure it really counts as a “real date.”

Went to the movies with Carol last weekend and saw a movie she chose. Then this weekend we went over to the coast. We went out to dinner there. Well, really more like lunch, but it was still a date kind of thing. We also walked around the docks and bought some crabs on the way home. So, moving along in this goal for this year…

Carol and I went out to see Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday. I thought it was a pretty good movie. Carol though it was okay, but a bit gory. Next time, I’m going to make sure we go out to a movie of her choice…

I’ve been thinking for a while that I ought to go out to the movies or something with my wife more often. I have a gift card from one of the local theaters for something like $35.00 which I haven’t even taken out since I got it for Christmas. Got to show the lady that I love her more often…
