i’m 2 for 2. did devotions yesterday and today. and, today, i even started looking at material for teaching sunday school to junior high and high school kids. yes, i am teaching them this sunday. scary for them, huh?
I have an accountability partner, Lily, to help me with this goal. I tell her whether or not I did my devotions every day. It’s great! I am doing a Beth Moore workbook A Heart Like His about David. It’s awesome! I have already read the book (3 years ago or so) and really enjoyed it. I and II Samuel is probably my favorite parts of the Bible now! I am really liking reading it again. I am going to keep a daily tally on this goal too, to keep myself honest. It seems to be working for other things!

given some convictions i’ve been feeling and given a conversation i had with my good friend manda (and a book loan – beth moore’s “a heart like his”), i’m on the road to doing this goal! did my devotional time before working on the dissertation.

I’m so pathetic. Given what I know about the Lord and given my love for the Lord, how is it that daily devotions is so far on the horizon?
