It is important to feel motivated, especially when you are feeling de-motivated like I am at the moment! Going to keep this on my printed off list, but want to replace it with something like ‘have art in my life every day’. Just a short time viewing some art on the net lifts me, while doing mundane tasks I like reflecting on it, and imagining how I would do something similar. Best of all, of course, if going to galleries, the three of us like to do this.
Clickchic has written 4 entries about this goal
Today I realised a great motivator – using the ‘places’ on 43 things. One of my many regrets is not seeing the world as I would have liked – at 16 years old I wanted to travel, but never did. I’m playing catch up! So by listing the places I’d most like to see, and seeing the photos and enthusiastic entries from people who have seen them, I will want to go there even more – and so work harder on my goals to allow me to.
Like so many people, I find losing the excess weight difficult. It is so annoying because I was so slim at 16 I worried I was too thin!
It’s ridiculous really. With this goal, (to lose weight) I have so much motivation, so why is it so difficult to reduce my weight? My brother has been diagnosed with diabetes, so I’m more likely to have it when I’m older, and being overweight is the major contributing factor to Type 2 diabetes. As if that wasn’t enough incentive, and it should be, I find it difficult to walk upstairs because of the pain in my knees, I get backache and hip pain, all due to the weight. I get palpitations, and know that again weight problems are a major cause of heart problems. Some cancers are more likely to occur if you are overweight.
And of course there’s also the motivation of having more energy, feeling better about myself, having a better choice in clothes, feeling less tired.
I need to read this every day to remind me just how many reasons there are to make a tasty salad and to dance/walk/work out rather than eat rubbish or just sit around. Every day counts!

• Waking each morning full of optimism and enthusiasm
• Being fantastically confident and striding out, achieving my dreams, helping the charities I want to help and being part of achieving, wise teams of people to enable others to achieve their potential
