Hike the midstate trail

A few weeks ago. I really enjoyed it. I brought my slr, and T had the digital camera. We took alot of pics, but only have the digital ones developed. Here’s a link:

We are slowly, but surely notching off small segments at a time. The biggest hinderance, is not staging cars. We just haven’t done it yet… I think next time, we will.

Aaron and I did about 5 miles today over two small hills. We picked up from a section we did last year when we got engaged. It was very hot and humid out, just like last year. We seem to pick those types of days for our Midstate jaunts. Oh well… we found a berry field with wild blueberries, raspberry, and blackberries and came away with a nice little supply which we’ve turned into ice cream which is now in the freezer (our first attempt, very yummy but a little softer than we’d like).

We should do more of the midstate. It is so close but we don’t make a lot of time for it.

Try to section hike part of the midstate this weekend. we’ve only done 2 maybe 3 sections. For more info on the trail, check out:

We started this last year. Got engaged on the shores of a lake along the trail. It’s got some sentimentality to it for me, nothing too hard, but I hope to be able to do it, and hope I can encourage others to enjoy the trails in our back yards.
