Well, if you want to lose weight, a great way is to get sick! Of course it’s not too healthy and I’m very glad that I’m better and able to eat again. I celebrated with some ice cream straight out of the carton. I can’t say that I feel bad about it in the least!
Now I have to just get back on track!!!

I’ve been a little spotty with my daily entries in the Calorie King software but I feel good about the progress that I have made. So far this week I’ve been entering a lot better and that, coupled with my time at the gym I have reached my weekly goal of losing 2 pounds!!!! I am very, very happy about this!!!

I have determined how much weight that I want/need to lose (sadly 65 pounds) and I have set a deadline to lose it (June ‘07). I figure that if I lose 2 lbs per week I can meet this goal. In a perfect world I would maybe lose an additional 20 lbs and lose it sooner but I know that losing too much too soon isn’t healthy. It would just be awesome to be truly healthy and at the weight that I am supposed to be.
I’ve been eating better, although far from perfect, and I have begun actually exercising which are the first steps to actually doing something to accomplish this goal.
Go me!

I am going to start using my Calorie King software again to keep track of the food I eat and the exercise that I am able to fit in each day. When I did this before I not only lost weight but I felt a lot better too.

Well the 12 weeks have passed. I weighed in and my husband kept saying that he would weigh in tomorrow. We never worked out or ate better and have gained more weight in the process. I think that I really need get a schedule to work out and really plan our menus so that we can do more than talk about being healthy and then look at our huge tummies in the mirror. School starts back again in approx. 2 weeks. Here’s to more planning!!!!

I haven’t been overweight my whole life but since graduating college I have seemed to be packing on the pounds. I haven’t been able to lose more than five pounds at a time and have been consistantly gaining and was, this January the heaviest I have ever been.
Luckilly, I won this contest which gave me a 12 week free membership to the gym complete with a trainer and nutrition help. I lost inches and pounds and realized that it is possible to get in shape.
My husband and I have committed ourselves to taking the next 12 weeks to compete against eachother (and help eachother) to lose more weight. We will do before and after pics just like the contest did and will evaluate our results and reward eachother with something cool. We are starting on June 1st. I’m excited!!!
