Back to the real world. My summertime love (friend) just called and said he realizes he wants to keep his life the way it was. I have encouraged him all along to reconcile his 29 year marriage so part of me is very happy for him…
but I will miss his fun visits and our exploring the wilderness together. His friendship has always been good for me. One of God’s blessings in my life.
It was a fun summer here in the wilderness …wonder what the holidays will be like?

did turn out to be my friend that I spent the 4th of July with- that was his plan all along. :)
He came to visit for a few days last week…I played hooky from work Friday afternoon and we went for a drive up to the Canadian Border and by Lake Koocanusa (where the movie Always was filmed).
Then we explored all of the smaller lakes on the way back home – he kept saying how he wanted us to get a place on the lake so all of our children and their families could have something fun to do when they come to visit us. It was a nice day dreamin day.

For June things were going fairly smoothly when out of the blue I got a call from a long lost friend who wanted to stop by to visit. He was only 12 hours away…practically in the neighborhood. :)
The adventure with him expanded into the 4th of July. You see, I have always had a thing about the 4th of July when I met my new summer boyfriends…since I was about 10.
That was the time our family went to the lake resorts and I literally met my new boyfriends while we all vacationed. We would write for the rest of the summer until school began and everyone got busy.
This extended into adulthood…it seemed all of my new loves came into my life around the 4th of July…including my deceased husband and B.
Well my long lost friend heard this story and stuck around until after the 4th so I wouldn’t find a new beau…he wants to be first in line…we had a fun time watching the fireworks over the entire Fathead Valley from our viewpoint on Big Mountain.
Who knows maybe he will be my summertime love. ;)

I know, I know this is very late but I do need to post something for August.
I was in a web cast. It was very cool! It was actually like being on a television program and people could send in questions and get answers real-time.

I tried to unicycle! It was fun! Although brief. I was surprised how comfortable unicycle is, comparing to bike. I like the most the fact one needs to relax in order to drive it.
In fact I have another new and fulfilling experience, and that is rowing in single! :)

..a pretty good summer. It’s not even been feeling like Autumn where I’ve been, it’s been so hot.
I’m hoping to have a great winter as well; it’s always been my favourite season.

Since I started this goal in July instead of June, I still need one new experience for September.
Well that race I mentioned in my August entry happened in September and it was really something new and fulfilling, but since preparation for that race was my August entry, I want another September new and fulfilling experience. Yes I know, summer is over today…

My new and fulfilling experience for August was following a swimming plan that led me to my first swimming race beginning of September. Well the truth is i wasn’t following the plan to the letter and i was procrastinating a lot becouse i didn’t believe it is possible – the whole thing.
Participation in race thought me one important thing and that is, to believe in goals, believe in dreams, believe in impossible.
