leave my city once a month, leave my country once a year

There’s too many other things going on right now for this to be realistic. I’ll pick this goal back up another time…

I still haven’t left my country, but I’m hoping for a Europe trip next spring with my old college roommates!

I’ve certainly left my city monthly, but few of my trips have been exciting lately. I had a fun trip to DC and northern Virginia in May, and I’m looking forward to a trip to California for a conference in October.

In between, I’m moving to another city. What does that count for?

I didn’t make it to the Big Apple this year, but I just got in from an amazing trip to the Little Apple in Kansas!

I had an amazing weekend, enjoyed cool weather, and got to spend 72 hours with my best friend!

Where do I draw the line? Does going to visit my parents in my hometown count as leaving the city once a month? Since my mom got sick, I go home nearly once a month anyway.

And I live in Fort Worth. Does an afternoon shopping trip to Dallas count? It’s certainly out of the city limits, about 30 miles away, but it still feels like my backyard…

• June 2-4th: in Longview for my parents’ 30th anniversary
• June 5th: going to Love Field airport in Dallas to pick up a friend
