Ok, I did lose a lot of weight last year. However, during the winter 3 kilos crept back. Now I’m committed to drop the last 10 kilos by 31st July. I know I can do it – have done it before. Losing weight is always the easy part – keeping the ideal weight is the real challenge.

Have lost 17 kg’s (1kg=2.2 lbs) and 3 dress sizes since last summer. Still the last 7 kg’s to go. I recommend sparkpeople.com to everyone wanting to lose weight without fad diets. I have really managed to change my lifestyle into a healthier one. My program at the moment:
HIT Weight training 3-4 times/week
3x salsa (dancing)/week
2x boogie woogie (dancing)/week
Planned activities: geocaching – have the GPS and will go soon for the first treasure hunt
Tango – beginner’s course will begin in September
Haven’t been updating the 43 things in ages.
I have lost 7 kilos so far (I joined Sparkpeople which has made a HUGE difference)...still 13 to go. Doing cardio at least 3xweek and strength training 3 x week. I go dancing (salsa&rock’n roll) with my hubby 2 x week
Hooray the kilos gained in Finland have dropped. I’m also keeping up my exercise routine very well. Now that we’re moving I’m burning extra calories by dragging and carrying our stuff
The summer holidays in Finland was a disaster to my weight (but GREAT fun). However, I’m thinking it was nice to indulge and now I have loaded my battery for the autumn/winter. For two weeks I’ve been doing my muscle exercises and gone walking and dancing bhangra regularly. So, definitely motivated, full of energy and ready to reach my goal of getting rid of the extra lard by next spring…
...I promised myself not to obsess about my weight but tried anyway this morn: 2kg less :-) Probably just water but it gave me a nice motivation boost to get into shape. I’m determined to look my best when I turn 30.
i have slipped from writing an entry every day but otherwise I’ve done well – counted calories and exercised. Now I should just get cracking with strength exercises.I’ve decided to ban the scales for couple of weeks – otherwise I’m just obsessing every morning which is ridiculous.
I’ve promised to write an entry every day to motivate myself. Today I have done my strength exercises and still have tons of calories left for the evening. A good day.
I think this sparkpeople program is great. I can enter everything I eat and it keeps track of my calories, carbs, protein and fat. It even counted me how many calories I’m allowed to eat per day and how much I’m to exercise to lose weight. Brilliant! So the first proper weight loss day has been quite ok.
I met some friends yesterday who have lost a lot of weight – now I feel more motivated again so I signed myself up for sparkpeople to get a nutritional and exercise plans. Quite humane actually (in comparison to my usual diet regimes) – it should be more or less easy to follow.
My goals:
My 2 year goal: maintain my ideal weight, increase muscle mass
My one year goal (besides weighing 60kg like I used to): my belly button standing up straight instead of being horizontal like now.
My 1/2 year goal: weigh 70 kg
