I just hit the out of control level. I cannot do this without help. I have scheduled an appointment with a credit counselor tomorrow and will hopefully leave with a bit more peace of mind than when I went in.

Ok…back to square one.
Something I read to help: its called a snowball effect.
Basically you take a look at how much your minimums are on all your cards, you make sure you pay the minimum on all the cards you have every month and then focus on paying off the smaller card, even if you have to do $20 here and there or whatever. That way you quickly clear off one source of debt. Then you roll what you were doing on the smaller balance, once it’s paid off, and use that to pay down the bigger one by adding that amount to the minimum payment each month.
Makes sense and gives you some easy targets to hit. Just set them up to do auto debit online when your payment is due, if you have that luxury, and then once a month make an extra payment on the smaller balance. That way you don’t have to worry about it.
I’m going to try this.
Yeah…I put some more on the card. Grr. These things are just too easy. So, it’s back on the list!
Yes! Finally! What a relief! I’m kind of poor now but at least I don’t owe any more of that stupid interest.
