Give blood

My GP says that you can give blood if you have ulcerative colitis. The bad news is that I recently got back from rural Patagonia so I’m still officially unclean for another five months

Apparently if you have ulcerative colitis, you can’t give blood, ever :-(

This seems a worthy thing to do. I’m OK with needles. The first time I tried, they said I couldn’t because I had jaundice when I was born (for 3 days!). Years later I tried again, and they said that the jaundice is no longer an issue, but the medication I’m on (permanently) is. That was about ten years ago, so I’m going to go see what the current view is on whether my blood is fit for human consumption.
