learn hebrew

I broke up with my Israeli boyfriend, so I’m giving this up for now. :(

I know and can speak the alphabet, took a whole summer, but I can do it!!

I put the alphabet on my wall and every morning and night I would recite it, and then during class when I was bored I would test myself.

woot!!

I can now tell what sounds the letters make. Except I muddle Tet and Tav. Eeek!

I made Alef-bet cards! The only one’s giving me trouble are things like ‘vet’ VS ‘bet’.

I remain unable to handle the ‘ch’. It hurts to say it. :(

Since we’re in a study team group thingee together, why don’t we try some practice? How about sharing resources as well? I found some internet sites that were semi helpful like:

I tend to study in fits and starts. My ahoov was supposed to go over my accent through Voip, but he didn’t :(

i can read hebrew pretty well…but thats about all i can say.

Here are the books I’m studying with. With the exception of the blue cloth bound book they were all my grandmother’s.

alright to I decided to buy a cd thingy on Hebrew- hopefully I can get a head start on Hebrew before my Hebrew classes start in the fall- so I can concentrate also on my classes.

Hopefully I can work this out, and stick with it.
