I know and can speak the alphabet, took a whole summer, but I can do it!!
I put the alphabet on my wall and every morning and night I would recite it, and then during class when I was bored I would test myself.
woot!!
alright to I decided to buy a cd thingy on Hebrew- hopefully I can get a head start on Hebrew before my Hebrew classes start in the fall- so I can concentrate also on my classes.
Hopefully I can work this out, and stick with it.
go me!
Hi, I really want to learn Hebrew, so that when I go to Israel, hopefully next summer, I’m not totally a fish out of water. I was looking on line and found http://www.phrasebase.com/learn/hebrew.php I was wondering if anyone knew of/used this, and if it was any good, or a waste of time.
Or does anyone have other suggestions? I’m a college student a bit short on both time and money, so paying for a private tutor is pretty much not an option for me. Thanks.

... converting to Judaism. I do hear some spoken Hebrew every so often, when we do Shabbat, get together with family for Passover or go to a bar/bat mitzvah. I also have a book that I should start on when I have time.
