I’ve been managing to get up when the alarm goes off for the last two weeks.
I’ve been using my cellphone as my alarm. It sits across the room charging and the snooze is set at 5 minutes, so it’s not worth while.
If only I can keep it up…
I’ve been managing to get up when the alarm goes off for the last two weeks.
I’ve been using my cellphone as my alarm. It sits across the room charging and the snooze is set at 5 minutes, so it’s not worth while.
If only I can keep it up…
I’ve tried everything.
I just cannot seem to get up without hitting the snooze alarm at least 2 or 3 times. Even telling myself that I’m just prolonging the inevitable and that I’m not gaining any extra “real” sleep by snoozing…
Maybe a light on a timer?
So I set my alarm for 5:45AM and hit the snooze alarm anyway. I have to find something that works.
Instead, I got up at 6:00AM, which is the absolute latest I can get up to make sure I get to work by 7:00AM.
I got there at 7:01AM…
I know that sleeping an extra 30 minutes with the snooze alarm isn’t doing anything for me. Those 10 minute bursts of sleep do nothing, but for some reason I need it. I’ve been doing the snooze button abuser for many, many years.
I can’t just turn off the alarm, get up and go about my day. It just doesn’t work that way for me. I need time to wake up.
Monday I woke up on the first alarm and stayed up at 5:15AM. I turned on the TV and watched the news for 15 minutes then went about my day.
Tuesday and today I tried to wake up on the first alarm, but failed. I hit the snooze alarm at least 8 times this mornings alone. The alarm went off at 5:15AM and I didn’t end up getting up until at least 6:00AM…45 minutes wasted.
Tomorrow morning I’m just going to set my alarm for 5:45AM and wake up on the first alarm, then I’ll watch the news for a couple of minutes to wake up.
I’ll slowly start working my way back to getting up at 5:00AM.
