this summer i have discovered i really like running and working out, as well as making homemade greeting cards. when i get home from my internship in new york city, i think i am going to explore these two things more. i need to go to an arts & crafts store for supplies for the latter (paper, fancy pens, miscellaneous decorations, etc.). as for fitness, i think i am going to invest in a good pair of running shoes or sign up for a fitness class at my campus gym (spinning, tennis, pilates, kickboxing, etc.). i like running, but i don’t want to get bored and give up all physical activity.

so yesterday i decided to make a thank you card for a co-worker to go with a box of godiva chocolates i bought for her. i came up: “thanks a (choco)lot!” i had a lot of fun making the card, and i’ve made others before (my favorite is a drawing of a peach and above it it reads: “i a-peach-iate you!” – har har har). maybe this could be a hobby? i like being creative and actually making something. i wonder how i can make this into a full-fledge hobby. maybe i could make a bunch and use the cards to give to friends for birthdays, holidays, just to say hello or thank you, etc. or maybe i could make them and sell them online or at little craft fairs? they’d have to be really high quality, but that would be a fun little project for me!

i’m so excited at the idea of having this hobby, so i can’t imagine how excited i will be to actually do it!
