So here it is….the piece I’ve had on the go for more than 2 years, finally finished.
I’m really chuffed with this coz it’s one of the first cross stitch pieces I actually chose to do for myself to keep, instead of someone else. Also, the bear is my totem animal, so it means a lot to me :o)

I’ve really got back into my stitching and picked up a kit I’ve had on the go for over 2 years now. Its called “Joy” and I’m almost finished all the cross stitch now. Just need to do all the backstitch which could take a while. At this rate though, I could have it finished in a matter of weeks!

I also found some time over the holidays to make some progress on my long running Tiger Pool project. I am determined to finish it eventually, as I have two other CS projects that I want to do. I think I’ve been working on this one for over 10 years now! wowie!
Knitting is the usual distraction, but I had lots of motivation for cross-stitching recently, so yay!

With all the extra time on my hands over the holidays I picked up my most recent project and after a week of hard graft managed to finish it last night! Woo-hoo!
I’ll post a picture on here when I take one – It’s a feng shui symbol for prosperity with a beautiful border around it in shades of blue and green. I’m going to give it to my best friend Graham for his birthday (who is a Reiki master and uses a lot of symbols in his work). I’m sure he’ll love it!

In the last few weeks I’ve been trying to do half hour of stitching whenever I can, just so I don’t completely give it up! I still enjoy it, but think I’m probably just bored of the projects I’m working on. No wonder we all end up with so many Work in Progress projects!! lol
Maybe I should order another new kit???

Quick update

I finished the projects for my sisters-in-law that was my previous entry here.
I started a project for my sister, and I have another project waiting in the wings for after that. Now that I’m in school, it’s hard to make time. Still working on it…

I haven’t picked up my stitching for a few months now, and I think its due to a stitching burn out! I was so in to it for ages, then I just haven’t wanted to do it for a while. Anyone else have the same issue?
Maybe I need to pace myself and do a little at a time instead of going gung-ho and then crashing and burning!
