The master of neo-soul himself! When this song came out it was both incredibly fresh and strangely familiar. Actually a lot of his songs have this quality.
Lady, especially after seeing the video, reminded me of a song that would have been on the Sonny and Cher Variety Hour with Cher dancing with either Tina Turner or Racquel Welch.

Dianne Reeves is one of those rare talents that unfortunately few people really know. (If you saw Good Night And Good Luck, she was the singer in the radio station). Her cover of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now is a favourite.
