Amazingkae
is curling up in a sunbeam to start the week
Thoreau said, “I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor…” and I am certain that applies to us girls as well.
You are who you decide to be – - and I fully intend to become and international woman of mystery.
I intend to mark this goal completely done when I have set foot in at least 3 more countries and one other continent. Until then, my rights of passage will continue to include extensive state-side exploring of my local areas and a great deal of research related to cultural studies and history.
That, and a few seriously well earned trips to the city and out to the shores of my native country. Sun and sand worshiping are all part of maintaining my feminine mystique when it comes to foreign affairs and ministry.
43 cheers to elevating your life and lifestyle with panache. Ladies of the world, rise gracefully!

As an IWOM, I find myself draped across a chaise lounge clad only in an exquisite silk charmeuse peignoir set an admirer brought back from France. There is a glass of champagne in my hand and nearby, sweetmeats and chocolate bonbons await my possible consumption.
Soon, I will have a soothing bubble bath with exotic scented oils that perfume my body and keep the skin supple. This afternoon I have invited several prominent philosophers, artists and other assorted people of learning and culture to my salon. The hour is nearly upon me, but I don’t rush… IWOM don’t rush.
As I luxuriate in my bath, I anticipate the exchange of words and ideas… Witty repartee and opinions voiced with passion. I will not say overly much during this precious time… I will float amongst the guests, asking questions and listening intently. Attempts to pry information from me on my personal life will be met with a long gaze, a hint of a smile and maybe the slightest of winks, nothing more.
Then, I awake from my Sunday nap.
I brew some tea, scoop out the kitty box, think about the items for work I need to read over before Monday morning, cross of all completed weekend to do items on my list, and contemplate dinner…
Well, shall it be the Stouffers Corner Bistro Rosemary Lemon Chicken? Hmmm… Decisions, decisions…

invited me to share this goal (thanks taikatalvi!) i hesitated, knowing how unmysterious i am fundamentally, but when i followed the link to accept/reject the offer, the blantant question “Do You Want To be an international woman of mystery—Yes or No?” prompted me to answer yes immediately and without thought.
of course i do. of course i want to be an international woman of mystery.
but does this mean i have to start closing the door when i pee?
