1. My wife cleaned and tidied our home so nicely.
2. My daughter was well behaved on our little trip to drop off items at the thrift shop and plastic at the recycling bins.
3. I did some good housework of my own.
4. Wifey made a delicious dinner.
5. Getting a good long nap—my C-PAP air mask broke and so I’ve had to stay up waiting for the fix to cure/dry.

  • Attending my first screenwriting workshop and receiving positive feedback
  • Using the gift card I got for my birthday
  • Feeling more and more like the pieces of the puzzle that will manifest my PURPOSE are on the table and the picture is getting clearer by the day~

1. Precious; because sometimes we forget that people whose lives appear to be train wrecks were not the engineers driving that train

2. Blindside; because we all have the power within us to kick some ass on the behalf of others

3. Air France; they are starting A380 service between Paris and New York Monday signalling a great deal of hope in the economic recovery

4. PSE&G, the local utility company; they were here in less than 20 minutes after calling in last evening’s gas leak

5. Trig Palin; because whatever your thoughts on his mother, being in the public eye and not hidden away is going to make a world of difference in our perception of people with Downs Syndrome and ultimately in the lives of these wonderful people

11-21-09 I am grateful 1 day ago

1) For answers. I love when I get them…. and find the solutions… having answers brings on such relief and resolution
2) For learning how to be at peace during the “in between” ... when the answers haven’t presented themselves…. learning to appreciate the space of feeling in flux…. knowing that it is as valuable as having answers
3) That my favorite holiday is this week…. I love being in a space of gratitude and having an excuse to tell people how grateful I am to have them in my life
4) For little tiny hands… my nieces’ .... so sweet and cute and perfect
5) For my Mom…. for the first time ever in our lives finding more than just neutral ground…. actually finding real love… I think I may be more grateful for this than anything else in the world right now…. I never thought it possible… a blessing.
6) For the originator of “Daily: Reflect on 5 things for which I’m grateful.” You don’t know how doing this on a daily basis has changed my life. For this I am very thankful!

Gratitude 20th Nov. 2009 1 day ago

1. Recovering from bad weather and such that disrupted my sleep: I woke up on time.
2. My med nurse said, “This is the best I’ve ever seen you!” at today’s appointment
3. Maintained weight loss- stepping on the scale at aforementioned appointment- 343 lbs.
4. Got a roll of dollars ($25)—enough for Sarah to deposit to her special account; when I told mother-in-law (who set it up) offered an additional $5 so she can pay tithing easier.
5. Arriving home in time to greet my daughter, who’s home on an early release for the start of parent-teacher conferences.
6. My son is napping at the moment after a rather exciting day for him.

  • While walking Ziggy this morning, I received a warm smile from a guy I always see walking his son to school. That was a nice way to start the day
  • The students who listened when I told them to enter our school this morning. Yes, they were early, but it was raining for Pete’s sake
  • Seeing dazzling colors in nature and on a friend
  • Reading a bit, writing a bit and being inspired- lots of ideas flowing!
  • Coming home to a very clean home. I appreciate everyone here pitching in~
