Car 's feeling a little lonely
Fun — 1 year ago
Let’s do it again sometime :-)
I heard a Cure song on the radio on the way home.
Inbetween Days
Yesterday I got so old
I felt like I could die
Yesterday I got so old
It made me want to cry
Go on go on
Just walk away
Your choice is made
Go on go on
And disappear
Go on go on
Away from here
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn’t be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you
Yesterday I got so scared
I shivered like a child
Yesterday away from you
It froze me deep inside
Come back come back
Don’t walk away
Come back come back
Come back today
Come back come back
Why can’t you see
Come back come back
Come back to me
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn’t be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you
It reminded me of college.
It reminded me of how long the songs always were and how it felt like it went on FOREVER out on the dance floor.
What great exercise it all was…
Thankfully, since it helped balance out all the beer I know I must have consumed.
:0)
I don’t have a favorite 80s anything, so I just chose something that I did listen too! An 80s child who didn’t like much 80s music, i never thought!
Before the 80’s, during the ‘80’s and after the 80’s! They are still my #1 group! I have all of their albums!
LL has a Matty!
The ‘nanas had a song suitable for every occasion in a 12-year-old’s life…. crushes, parties, more crushes. Mostly crushes, really.
I like thinking back on the songs and bands I loved during that time… many of which I still do love.
;-)
An array of memories… some good, some not so good, and many that are just somewhere in between.
Criminy!
So many fun and incredible bands…
B-52’s, The Call, Echo & The Bunnymen, Elvis Costello, The Call, The Cult, The Cure, Golden Palominos, Guadalcanal Diary, Lloyd Cole & The Commotions, Peter Gabriel, The Police, The Pretenders, Psychedelic Furs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, REM, The Replacements, Siouxie & The Banshees, The Smiths, Squeeze, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The The (Uh huh, that was the band name), They Might Be Giants …
All so good in so many ways. Each one I was musically introduced to changed my life and how I looked at myself and the world.
But I guess I’m going to have to go with The Cure… I love looking back and remembering my all black clothing and red, red lipstick days. It was a blast and completely unlike my geeky highschool days.

I was reading a thread Abbeynormal contributed to and got caught by her name. (I loved GnR too! And still listen to them all the time.) Then I found this goal on her list, and added it to mine. So that I’m not a total copycat, I found a different image for my avatar.
