making progress 1 year ago

It’s been 4 weeks since I adopted this goal. I feel like I have discovered a whole new world, although I have only learnt some basics. I can read notes and play them on the guitar, I know how to construct a major scale, I know a little about how chords are built and stuff like that. Yes, all this is very simple and everybody can learn it, but I’m glad that I know at least this. I have expanded my understanding of music theory a lot and I’m going to continue doing so; this is just the beginning. I have found this site very useful and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start learning from scratch.

I like to listen to music but I don’t understand the music theory at all. My goal is to learn at least the very basic stuff. I would also like to play some instrument and I believe that learning music theory might be useful.
