I just saved on it altogether. I only drink coffee from home (unless I am on the road, at which point I bring a mug). But hell, if ya never leave home, ya never have to bring the mug. Saves on automobile emmissions, too! Less car maintenance, less auto emmissions, less trees cut down for the paper coffee cups, and less shiza from people in general if ya just STAY HOME! LOL!

Chris Campbell is glad that you can.
I bought a new travel mug today. My older metal one was getting scratched up and stained, so I got a new one that is stronger and transparent. I like it.
I have a stainless steel one as well. And yes you’re right, we did raise some awareness at least.

We didn’t build a team of 43, but I think we can pat ourselves on the back for spreading awareness across the 43 universe.
Retiring this one for now.
I have an awesome mug with monkeys on it that I use for tea. I think it’s made of clay or something, handcrafted in Mexico? Well, I bought it at my co-op, so I think it’s socially and environmentally responsible (aside from transportation from Mexico).
I also bought a Klean Kanteen (kleankanteen.com) a while ago. It’s made with healthier stainless steel (vs plastic or aluminum). I use it to carry water with me, avoiding bottled water most of the time (except at airports, now that you can’t bring liquids past security, though I suppose I could fill it up after that).
Sessygail is tired of working so hard...but what's a girl to do?
I did it! I made a pot of coffee this morning and I fixed it just as I like it (some reduced fat 1/2 and 1/2 and a bit of sugar) and used a funnel to pour it into my trusty hospice thermos and it was piping hot when I arrived at work AND it perfectly filled my big coffee mug in the office! What a great idea this goal was! And when this has become a true habit for me, I will retire this goal. But not yet!
To Me! I’ve been keeping up with it too :)

because now I can set it to make my pot of coffee here before I leave for work and then I can pour some of that coffee into the new thermos that I got from hospice as a Christmas gift and then I can drive to work with my favorite coffee. It is definitely one of those synchronicity moments!
Just ordered this for myself for Christmas from ebay…
I figured if I were to do some hunting and spend more than a buck I’d be more likely to use it!
Not usually a big Tinkerbell fan, but I liked the design…
So, in about a week I will have joined the 43ters in using a travel mug to save money & reduce the impact of my behavior on the environment :D

I now realize that I don’t often buy coffee as I travel to and from work. I do, however, maintain the supplies necessary for brewing in a French press in both my kitchen and my office (the cleaning lady loves the grounds on my file cabinet!). You’ll see that I support the spirit of this goal by using a reusable metal mug.
This makes me think: why don’t Starbucks and other national chains offer washable, reusable cups and mugs to customers who decide to drink their beverages in the stores?
