Fulfull my dream of making music for a living

With a baby now priorities have changed. Now I want to make music but I know I can’t put the time in to pursue it full time. Maybe later in life this will become a reality though.

The “MY” refers to Cathibeth’s friend Erich, and I helped him all I could I s’pose…

Tone deaf and no sense of rhythm keep me from completing this goal.

As much as I would love to play to a stadium full of women all dying to hear me sing and play and all wanting me to be the father of their future children, or at least try, I don’t think this one is going to happen.

When I added this goal, it was not for me to fulfill, but to support erichtoebe.

Long ago, I realized that I do not have the physical stamina to make this goal my livelihood.

I can still sing to my heart’s content, and that’s most of what I need. An audience every once in awhile is nice, too.

I have a couple of MySpace pages with some demo-like recordings on it. The second one is random stuff I have done to learn to use some of the software I have.

I like this goal, but there is some things I’ll do for my part of the dream:

First: No major recording label, nor in ANY way ClearChannel
dependent, no ASCAP, no SABAM, no SACEM. the rule to apply here is using the Creative Commons License to protect the rights I have, or we have in the case Buzzworkers (my little team).

second: why sell a cd at 25 euro, when it is going to be in the network in the next month, or weeks or even days for some artist ? the rule in this case is to make music free to download, free to copy, to share, and then…sell CD at some democratic price at Events and other forms of self-marketing.

third: You shall win money, make a living from music by doing live gigs, concerts, vinyls, live act.

all this because music is something that must be alive,
you need the people around you to really live the music, be the music, and not just another puppet of some famous TV Network.

Be Yourself, not a product.
