Just had a phone conversation with DH’s SIL. His Bro has had a heart attack and is having bypass surgery on Friday. DH is in the car on his way to a meeting, I think it is not a good idea to call him just yet – but tell him when he gets home this afternoon, is this a good plan? I don’t want him to be not concentrating while he’s driving. In the meantime I will text his bro in hospital. They live in Ireland, so it is not like we can easily visit. DH’s Dad died of a heart attack, his Mum of a stroke, DH is on medication for blood pressure – it all sounds rather genetic. I hope DH will now slow down a bit more – this is a good time for him to make some serious changes to his lifestyle, he should take the opportunity.

And after that bombshell I have to get on with my day…can’t really think what is important anymore.

Funny funny day, Big Bosses made it in and I have already embarassed myself once but luckily nothing too major – all fun and games around the office as everyone stands on parade. Must make an effort to look busy.
