... though that’s not what I call it. I got pretty dividers and have sections for my menus, shopping lists, etc.
I finalized a good weekly routine and have it on the refrigerator, and completed my items for today.
I had gotten bad about keeping my calendar and maintaining the house during my 1st trimester. Now that I’m feeling better, I’m glad to get back on schedule!

with my schedule. I think they work better for people who have the opportunity to actually not get dressed to their shoes… Having said that, there are some very good qualities about having and keeping routines. I swished and swooped this morning and love the feeling I get from seeing a sparkling toilet. :)

I especially like the weekly emails that tell you a place to focus on. The one I plan to tackle today is the linen closet. We have towels in their that my hubbie had 100 years before me! That’s a little hyperbole, but I’ve added towels to my grocery (Wal-Mart) list so that I can gradually build us a nice collection. I highly recommend subscribing to their email list. ... too busy this week. But, isn’t that an oxymoron? These routines should keep me organized in order to keep life under control. However, I’m not going to feel horrid about not sweeping my porch. It’s winter and windy. And it looks nice. I do continue to make my meal plans and grocery lists- that is a definate “have to do!”
I’m off to Wal-Mart for grocery shopping in a minute.

and am excited about how it’s already helping me to keep control over the many many many things on my plate. Also, there are some great resources and downloads at flylady.net for those of you who are working on or are curious about this goal. Even thought it’s intended for stay-at-home mom’s, it’s worked for me. I work a full-time job, a part-time job, and currently take 9 hours of PhD coursework. It’s what helps me keep my head above water without having my family suffer for all that I try to do!

my weekly home blessing hour to Mondays. Today took about an hour and a half, just because I found the need to mop every room. But, wow! my house smells so nice, and I’m burning candles in just about every room. It makes home feel more like home, and it got me a big kissy when my hubby got home. :-)

I swish and swooped, made my bed, and had lunches already prepared from last night… I’m about to go print my daily routines.. :-)

I’ve now established my daily and weekly routines. I didn’t go about it the way www.flyLady.net suggests, but I think this will work for me. The document is a work in progress b/c I still don’t know about my Spring term classes. (another reason to be a professor… when do these people work?)

but it’s hard b/c I don’t know the time of my Spring term classes. Clemson people come back to work tomorrow, so I should be able to perfect my weekly schedule then.
