organize my photos

....getting caught up with my son’s albums. Finished his middle school years album and started his high school one. Can probably get this caught up with one more long session. Feels great to finally feel like I’m getting on top of this goal! I have a long way to go, but I’m making great progress!!

....of prints back from the non-digital age. For the most part they are in chronological order, but I had two boxes that were a MIXed mess. Got through one box tonight sorting them into the right boxes. One more to go.

I’m moving in April and do not want to move a MIXed mess!

Edited later: found another 3 boxes so my count is up to 12. Spent some time tonight on the mess and cut the MIXed up mess box by more than half. The problem is that all the photos left are the HARD ones to nail down a year….. Hope to finish this tomorrow.

....and gaining some ground. Got my younger daughter’s album finished yesterday (well, up to date!!) Went to Staples today and got my son’s things copied (newspaper clippings, plus certificates shrunk down, etc) and ordered his photos from snapfish for his album. I feel like I’m missing some things, so between now and the time the prints come, I’m going to do some more searching/organizing, so that I can screech through his album.

Feels so good to carve out some time to work on these.

...backed up all my photos from 2006 and 2007 onto my external hard drive. So between the photos I’ll put into albums on my snapfish and everything backed up onto this hard drive, I should feel confident to delete the originals off my laptop….I don’t know why I’m still wavering…..maybe tomorrow I’ll be ready to take that leap….

Uploaded a few YEARS worth of photos to snapfish. I’d had over 6000 photos in my iphoto and very few of them were backed up…..I’d printed out some of them over the years to make my daughter’s photo album, but my other kids’ albums are so far behind….I figured if I got caught up on my uploading, then the photos would be more accessible to print out and get into the albums.

....to get together with friends to scrapbook this Friday. I’m supposed to be leaving for a ski trip that evening, so I need to be all packed for the trip on Thursday so that I can scrapbook on Friday!!

Got together with a friend to work on our kids’ albums. We chatted much more than we worked…..but I got a few pages done. I’m on the home stretch I’m up to this past summer!

....got my daughters photo album caught up through April 2007. At least I’m in the current YEAR!! That’s an improvement!

...and got 4 scrapbooking bages done. SLowly but surely I’m getting through the piles of pictures & memorabilia.

With the exception of the cover page, my daughter’s baby book is FINISHED!! I don’t know why I have a hard time with the cover pages…...but the rest of it is done & it came out really cute.
