24. bags of clothing to charity
25. bags of towels and sheets to charity
26. old pet carrier to a friend in need (I had 2 and only need one)
27. childrens board games to a co-worker to play with her grandson – my son graduates in a few weeks. We have no need for grade school games any longer.
28. puzzles – I picked up a bunch of puzzles a couple years ago and they were just gathering dust in a closet. At the suggestion of a friend I donated them to a VA hospital.
29. Old espresso maker – to another friend since again I don’t need 2.
30. outdated cosmetics – in the trash they went
31. outdated toiletries – more trash
These things seem to multiply like bunnies. Not sure how that happens. Anyway, went through the piles I had and put most in the recycle bin. The rest (a bunch of Woman’s Days I received on a gift subscription) will be taken to work and put in the lunch room for others to enjoy. We have a table at work for reading materials.
20. Towels – I have too many for my tiny linen closet. My cousin just moved into a house and needs towels so I weeded through and picked some out for him.
21. 2 Scrapbooking bags I was no longer using. One was given to my niece and the other was taken to the school rummage sale. The boy that purchased the second one is going to use it as a paintball bag. :o)
22. Old coat that no longer fits my son – given to my nephew who need a warm coat for school.
23. More bags of clothes to charity.
8 bags in fact. I will probably drop them off this weekend while I’m out and about. Now I have space for a scrapbooking table in my office. :o)
17. I went through all of my shoes and pulled out all the pairs I haven’t worn in over a year. I ended up pulling out three bags in fact. Turns out one of my co-workers wears the same size as me so I’m taking them to work for her to look through. Whatever she doesn’t want, I’ll take to charity.
update Took the shoes to work today and my co-worker said it was like Christmas to receive so many pairs of shoes. :o)
16. My sweetie’s mom had a last minute idea for a White Elephant type game for Christmas. Basically you were just supposed to pick something you bought but later found you had no use for or something along those lines. I chose a snowball shaped candle holder I bought several years ago. It was pretty, but I never used it so I decided to go ahead and play the game with it. I ended up with something much more useful – body wash and lotion. :o)
15. I’m gonna give this to my dad. I bought a shiny new one earlier this year and my old one is just gathering dust. It’s about 3 years old and it would be perfect for what my dad would use it for (surfing the web, playing with photos and word processing). Plus it’s one more item of clutter I can get rid of. I even have a bag I can give to him to carry it in. :o)
update
I spoke to my dad last night and he does want the laptop so I’ll be doing some clean up on it for him and I’ll bring it to him the next time I see him. :o)
