Hmmm 9 months ago

Since I lost my regular job, I don’t have the money to just run into town whever I feel the need to go to the gym, or whatever else. So here we go- new goal to help me get there.

If I am in town, I’ll go to the gym.

I went yesterday and swam for about 45 minutes, then today I swan for a half hour, and did an hour long water aerobics class while I was at it.



Attempt 2 1 year ago

Well, I tried going to the gym regularly before and it lasted a few weeks I think, then I quit going.

However, after getting the job I have now, I’ve felt better all around, and ended up losing about 15 pounds just because of the change in my eating habits and increased daily activity. I also started going to the gym again two weeks ago and have gone three days a week, swimming a half mile each time.

Hopefully in the next month I’ll have myself back up to a mile at a time without putting myself in a state of exhaustion.



Progress? 1 year ago

I went on Thursday and swam for about twenty minutes and then jogged laps in the pool for another ten minutes- my arms got tired of swimming… lol.

Saturday afternoon I went too, and did more of the same. 25 minutes that day as I was way low on energy as I hadn’t eaten yet.

So that makes three trips to the gym this week. Yay!

I went to the gym tonight, and swam for about 15 minutes, then did the hour long water aerobics workout, plus a few more laps up and down the pool afterwards.

I have muscles mad at me right now that I forgot I had.

It feels good. :)

I also learned that there is a Tuesday evening class of this as well, so that should make my twice a week minimum much easier for me. Yay!



Another night... 1 year ago

Tonight I’m back to the gym again for that water aerobics class. Obviously once a week is not the same as twice a week or more, but I guess it’s better then nothing, right?

Thursday night I went to the gym and participated in an hour long water aerobics class. Not so bad, and I could have worked harder, but considering the sore muscles I had later that night, I’m glad I didn’t.

I made up a list of when that class is held each day that it’s held and also added in other classes I might want to join. Figure if I have my choices laid out on paper in front of me, I can just pick a time slot and head out.

I honestly can’t see myself out there on the machines until I lose some of this and firm up quite a bit- everyone out there is so in shape looking already. Eek!

Tomorrow evening (technically this evening) I plan to go to the gym and join up with the water aerobics class. I intend to feel like I might be on the verge of death with a smile on my face. I think it will be okay.
