I think I need to have a better-defined end goal than this….so I will count this goal as “met” when I have done the following:
1. Exercised at least three times a week for a duration of 30 minutes
2. Done the above for a period of at least 6 consecutive weeks.
Last week I exercised 4 times for the required duration, so I only have 5 weeks left to go!

I’ve been exercising pretty regularly - either walking or doing my prenatal DVD. I definitely feel better afterwards. I’m nearly ready to add some wrist or ankle weights to the prenatal DVD to increase the intensity a little bit - I think in a few more weeks it won’t be challenging enough. Then again, as my body changes, we’ll wait and see, I guess….

Well, now that the baby (and my belly) are getting bigger, I’m starting to get uncomfortable with my body alignment (especially while sleeping). I think my back muscles are too weak (after all, I’ve stopped hauling around choral risers, stage boxes, and all manner of sound equipment). Things just feel different, and not quite great. I’ve never been an exercise fanatic, but my activity level was always quite high.
I picked up a prenatal exercise DVD today at Barnes & Noble….one from the FitMama series. It has a couple of different 20 minute workouts on there, and it was the only one that had any kind of dancing on it (my FAVORITE form of exercise), plus a whole bunch of strengthening exercises for birth. I figure I’ll give it a whirl first thing tomorrow morning (the thought of exercising while my husband is home just kind of makes me blush, for some reason)...

No progress here. I need to formulate a plan and stick to it. Watch this space.

My therapist suggested Tai Chi as a way to exercise and meditate at the same time. I can’t wait to start—I just got the schedule today!

I go nuts out there with the hoe and work up a pretty good sweat weeding, picking, and watering. I also want to join a gym, though with my crazy hours I hope it will work for me.
What’s a reasonable expectation of what to pay for gym membership on a monthly basis? Any particular chains you can recommend? What do YOU do to stay fit?
