but we now have a hidden room !!!

we’ve decided just where the secret passageway is going to go… actually there will be two of them and the secret room will be over the.. oh I can’t tell you that… it wouldn’t be a secret anymore

this is sooo much fun :)
I’m glad my dh wants this as much as I do

we just bought a house jointly with my mother in law
It’s a duplex.It’s over 75 years old a really neat old house
that has a lot of potential. It does need some work,
and we plan on doing all ourselves.
We’ve already talked about just where the
secret passage way is going to go

I hope a long lost aunt will leave me a house like this in her will. It would be even better if the house had huge old paintings hanging on the walls and gas light fixtures in the ceilings. The smell of must in the air and funiture still under the dropcloths and spiraling staircases and stained glass windows and a broken piano and a carriage house out back…..

Yeah, not something I’ll be able to do right away. In junior high, I did some babysitting for a family who lived in a house with secret passageways and rooms. Very cool. Ever since then, I realized it’s something you can do in real life, not just movies.

Oh my god, this has been a childhood dream. I had NO IDEA so many others felt the same. How wonderful. I think the first movie that got me thinking this was “Young Frankenstein”
