but it just isn’t there! I can’t remember how I found 43 things! It was just messing around on the web, I fear. No matter—I’m glad I found it.

I really wanted to watch Six Feet Under online as I had begun watching at my sister’s house and she gets free rentals, but I do not and my new found love for the show was becoming quite spendy. I typed something along the lines into Google, and it took me here. I thought I would have actually been able to watch them here, but instead I just found a bunch of other Six Feet Under lovers, as well as many other types of people. And, really, it probably turned out for the best as I enjoy what 43things is, and I made an amazing new friend through my lack of having finished the series just weeks later.

to try to find one of my favorite blogs called just that—50 Books. 43T was the 2nd item that popped up. I clicked on it out of curiosity and poked around it for a few days before signing up. I’d recently become discouraged at the slow progress on my New Year’s resolutions and saw it as a way to help me stay on track with them. So far, I’d say it’s helping me with those goals and others I hadn’t even dreamed of at the time.
I was googling things last year (or the year before…) and I kept on seeing 43Things pop up. After seeing it on the list of results several times, I finally gave in and clicked on the link… and here I am now!
ok, fine, it’s worth it.
but it shows up on every search I do now a days, that’s how I found it. and I’ve stuck with it.

In my previous post on this, I wrote how I googled onto this site. That was the mechanism. But why did I stay? It so happened that I was in a place where I had to change my life. I had lived myself into a corner, and after pain and with help, I got out of it. I knew I had to change things, and had tasted the fruits of the effort. When I chanced on 43 Things, I immediately recognized it as a very powerful tool. Soon there were many friends, and how can I leave while the party is still going strong?
handprintonmyheart getting back to my 43 things!
I had heard of 43T before I decided to join it, and I had actually been meaning to set up an account because I liked the concept, but being the procrastinator that I am – I just kept putting it off. Right before I joined I was very active on Vox, which some of you may be familiar with – it’s a social networking/blogging site that is relatively new and a lot of fun. There on Vox I had been corresponding with NYCinephile and he thought that I would make a good 43T’er. I accepted his encouragement to join and I’ve been here ever since!
...my friend Brian, who suggested this spot to me back in summer. Had a good time ever since but it’s been terribly busy on my end and I’ve not updated in a long while! Hopefully soon!
I’m into the mechanism of social networks, so I was always on the lookout for such things. Many years ago I wrote something for a recruitment company that pooled groups of people that shared common employers so that they could be used as referees/information sources.
I came here either via:- Stumbleupon, as several people had 43things listed in their profiles.
- 43 Folders, which may have mentioned 43t.
- An article on social media in Wired or maybe PC-Pro.
brannen is dwelling in possibility, once more.
I first discovered this site through a Google search. I thought it seemed interesting enough, but wasn’t drawn in and continued on my original quest. I came upon it a second time last summer while searching on line for tips to overcome depression. My search tossed up a link to Stacy’s page. She’s such a good writer that I spent some time going through several of her posts and related comments and eventually decided jump on board.
