24. request books from the library on some topic that I may someday pursue, like sewing

26. listen to music on Accuradio or Pandora (at least for a few more days :( )

28. search for new reading material using the library’s Novelist database
29. find new recipes to try on epicurious or the Food Network
30. hang out in the librarians’ chat room in Meebo

1. Swap meets all over Los Angeles County
2. Antique fair, Whittier
3. Used book sale, friends of Whittier library several times per year
4. Volunteer: take kids trick or treating if you know any that have parents who can’t (or won’t) take them.
5. Sit on the porch and talk to the neighbors, swill a few brewskis.
6. Swim laps at the park pool
7. Have a make-up and facial night with girlfriends (slumber party style)
8. Beauty Bar in Hollywood, manicures and martinis for $10
9. Independent movie theater in Pasadena
10. Take classes through local rec. center (very affordable)...physical fitness and other interests.

1. Happy hour at several hundred places throughout LA
2. Go for a hot cocoa with a friend
3. Volunteer: Habitat for Humanity
4. Grand Performances free outdoor plays
5. Hermosa Beach Art Walk
6. Mural tour in Los Angeles
7. Bowling
8. Nickel Nickel (nickel arcade)
9. Buy a 4 lb. burrito and split it with 3 other people.
10. Read ghost stories to a group around a fireplace

1. Organize a game of baseball, hide and seek, capture the flag, etc.
2. Join a running group or marathon training group
3. Work on my cross-stitch or other crafts
4. Volunteer: Food On Foot
5. Volunteer: tutor children
6. Volunteer: local library or rec. center
7. Coach a little league or children’s team
8. Join a co-ed softball league (well it doesn’t have to be co-ed, but that’s the most fun)
9. Someone takes a picture of themselves somewhere in LA and you have to find them (this is one of my goals)
10. Make a ridiculous amateur movie
