I’m optimistic about the curious fact that thanks to the Michael Vick case, people were able understand that most “bad dogs” are not born bad…and in many cases, despite the cruelty they’ve suffered, they can be rehabilitated.

But that isn’t the only measure of my pronoia. Yesterday, I went into a groovy art gallery, chatted with the owner, and she invited me to be part of a reading! Thanks, universe!

My good news is that today was my town’s annual pet parade, so I got to see dogs in tutus, dogs in devil costumes, and dogs in old-style pajamas. Dogs rock—but you knew that.

My further good news is that I went to get myself a treat of low cal ice cream (at a place called The Frozen Monkey), and as I was walking down the street, a monarch butterfly landed on my spoon. A guy spotted it, and said, “You’re going to be really lucky.”

In the next five minutes, I proceeded to find four pennies!

So I bought two lottery tickets! You don’t need to wish me luck because I got plenty!
