I know, it’s a an animal that has become associated with unattractive behavior, etc…. but I just love the WORD.
WEE-ZIL. Makes me smile. Every time.
Also “weaselly”.
With all due apologies to weasels, who I am sure are much better at weaseling than even the most accomplished politician.

This is one of those words that sounds to me EXACTLY like what it is for some reason.

I like the most common meaning, kind of like “aware” but more active.
I like another specialized meaning, too, for a Jew who keeps the so-called ritual commandments. I like it a LOT more than “religious” which is also used to denote an observant Jew.
