paint my bedroom

I am about 2/3rds of the way doing this (kinda). I was originally going to paint it white to cover up the colour it was and then paint the whole room in a nice pink.
But it’s changed because the walls have needed 3 coats of white paint so far, well I’m on the 2nd/3rd coat right now, and it’s taking ages to do it especially as I gave up on it for about 6 weeks. But now I’ve started back on it and there isn’t much to go with the white, when that’s done I decided on just doing one wall in a shocking pink colour. I think that will look pretty cool and also it won’t take as long to do and it won’t cost as much either which is also good.

I have finally started on this goal. I started over a week ago but there is still a lot for me to do. I’ve basically started to give the whole room a undercoat of white so then I will only need one coat of pink on top.
I am thinking the room will need two coats of white paint on first by the looks of things so I am going to get that done first and then I can get some pink paint and paint the room pink.
I am about half way through with the first coat of white paint. It’s not an easy task because there is a lot of stuff in my room so I find it hard to move around and paint the walls so it’s taking longer to do than it would if my room isn’t full of stuff.

...and think I really need to get on with this goal and the sooner the better.
I am getting the loose bits of paper stuck down this weekend and I am going to get a tin of white paint so I can paint over the two dark walls so when I paint it with pink the purple won’t show through.

I am going to do it in the following steps.

1) Easter weekend – Stick up the loose bits of wallpaper and buy a tin of paint.

2) 25th-30th – Paint the two purple walls white.

3) 1st-5th – Get the paint I want and start painting the walls.

4) 6th-10th – Buy anymore paint that is needed and finish painting the walls.

5) 11th-16th – Get some gloss paint for my skirting boards and paint them.

6) 21st – Make sure all the painting is complete and then start work on getting the ceiling re-paper.

....and really want to complete it soon.
Before I can even paint my bedroom I have to do some work with the wallpaper that is up because some of it needs sticking back up near the ceiling where it has come loose so that needs sorting before I can even go anywhere near my room with some paint.
I am going to do that over the next couple of weeks and then get the paint I want and paint it as and when I have the time. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of March.

I wanted white but I have changed my mind, I want something nice and light but not pink although I love it. I like mint green but I will have to get white to paint over the darkness in there. I do like mint green colour so might go for that but the main thing is to paint it white to get the dark colour gone.

....the colour that my room is at the moment but I pained it when I was about 17 during the summer of 2000 and that was a great summer.
I have really gone off it, it’s been the same for years now and it needs a big cgange but we are moving later in the year so don’t want to spend too much on the room (or house) so I think I am just going to go for white all over. It will freshen it up and brighten it up and it will keep me happy until we move.
The walls will probably need about 2-3 coats because of the colour on my walla now but I think white will look the best plus it’s cheaper than a colour so I am going to go for white and I am sure I will have fun painting it too.
