What if I've already found (part of) it?  — 5 months ago

Just finished Spring Break week with my daughter. We stayed at home and were fairly domestic for most of the week, though we did go out and do a few fun things, too. By Thursday I think we were both a bit tired of each other. I was ready to come back to work, and I think she’ll be ready to go back to school Monday.

Between a rock and a hard place  — 12 months ago

Had my interview Friday. Was asked some totally professional-level questions which I really hadn’t expected—haven’t done this in 12 years, after all! But the tough spot may be that they want me to work 2 nights a week, and about every other Saturday. With a school-age child, a husband, and a household (not to mention, a LIFE) the 2 nights a week would be tough (& also not a popular choice at home!). I should find out about the interview next Friday, and we’ll go from there…
