It does seem like forever since we gave birth to this baby. We are having a lot of fun reminiscing about cooking adventures, some interesting stories and some even more interesting incidences that nonnacookbooker wasn’t aware of. Let’s do it!!

It seems like forever that the idea of putting together a family cookbook has been simmering away – something that records for posterity all the shared cooking adventures (and misadventures) along with our Italian heritage. At the moment we are scattered around Australia, with me in Japan, so a blog is great for getting this project up and running – one space where we can all record our progress.

Ok…. figured out the whole Blog thing and added valuable comments (re: no tofu crap). We’re definately getting a good list together of recipies… but I think in the recipe book we should also include little snippets here and there of our Blog comments…. so people get a feel of the ‘creation’ of the book.

Ok…. so we need to make a list of all the recipies…. but how are we going to catergorise them?? I think we’ll need a separate Christmas section…. you know, for things like Lebachukens and Greek Shortbread….. and baked Cheese Ravioli and Almond Bread….. and…. oooh my stomach is making noises…
I’m going to go through my own recipie book at home and see what’s in there – lots of hand written entries from Ma and a couple from Tash too. I think Tash even has a recipie in Nan’s handwritting…
BTW – your tofu burgers are not getting into this book. They taste like rubber…..
